Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. Please do not misuse it — for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing harmful code, sending automated bulk requests, or submitting false information in our forms. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe the site is being misused.
We take care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but it is general information. Equipment availability, prices, transit times and service areas can change, and nothing on the website is a binding offer until we confirm it to you in writing.
The content of this website, including text, photographs, logos and design, belongs to us or is used with permission. You may view it and share links to it, but you may not copy or reuse it commercially without our written permission.
Quotes, requests and bookings
- Requests are not contracts. When you send a hire, repair, waste or shipment request, or ask for a quote, we will reply with the details and a price. A contract is formed only when we confirm your request in writing (by email, WhatsApp or another written message) and, where we ask for it, you accept that confirmation.
- Reference numbers. We give each request or booking a reference number. Please quote it whenever you contact us.
- Prices. Prices shown on the website, including the shipping price list, are guides unless we confirm a price in writing. Where a price is marked “from”, the final price depends on the details of the job. We will confirm your price before any collection, delivery or work begins.
- Accurate information. You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate information, including addresses, contact details, descriptions of goods or equipment, and any access or safety requirements. If something you tell us is wrong or incomplete, we may need to change the price or timing, or decline the job.
- Changes and cancellation. Tell us as soon as possible if you want to change or cancel. We will let you know whether any charges apply, depending on how far the job has progressed and the costs we have already incurred.
Payment
We will tell you the amount payable, the currency and when payment is due when we confirm your quote or booking. For sea freight, our published arrangement is a two-stage payment: 50% at collection and 50% on arrival, with the UK collection fee payable at the first stage. Payment arrangements for hire, repairs and waste services will be set out in your written quote. We may withhold delivery of goods or equipment, or stop work, until an amount that is due has been paid.
Equipment hire
- Hire is subject to availability and to the hire details we confirm in writing, including the hire period, rate, delivery or collection arrangements and any deposit.
- You must use hired equipment only for its intended purpose, with suitably trained operators, and in line with safety instructions. You must not lend, sub-hire or move equipment from the agreed site without our consent.
- You are responsible for the equipment while it is in your possession, and for loss or damage beyond fair wear and tear. Tell us immediately about any breakdown, accident or damage.
Repairs and servicing
- We will diagnose the fault and confirm a quote before any repair work starts. If we find further faults while working, we will tell you and ask you before doing work that was not in the quote.
- Equipment left with us for repair must be collected within a reasonable time after we tell you it is ready. We may charge storage if it is not.
- We will carry out repairs with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for faults unrelated to the work we carried out.
Waste collection and recycling
- Our quote will describe the waste types, volumes, collection frequency and site access we have agreed. You must tell us accurately what the waste contains.
- We can refuse to collect, or may charge extra for, waste that is hazardous, mixed with prohibited materials, or different from what was described. You must not put hazardous, medical or radioactive waste out for collection unless we have agreed to it in advance.
- You must provide safe access to the collection point. Missed collections caused by blocked access may be charged.
Shipping from the UK
- Route and timing. We ship by sea from the UK to Zimbabwe and Botswana via Walvis Bay. Our stated transit time is 4 to 6 weeks from the date goods are shipped, not from the date they are collected. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Vessel schedules, port congestion, customs, border controls, weather and breakdowns can cause delays outside our control.
- Collection. We can collect from your UK address for a collection fee that depends on location, or you can take your goods to our UK depot yourself. Someone must be present at collection to hand over the goods.
- What you tell us. You must describe the goods fully and accurately. We may inspect goods, and we may refuse or hold anything that is not as described.
- Prohibited and restricted goods. You must not ship illegal goods, explosives, firearms or ammunition, hazardous or flammable materials, or anything that breaches UK, Zimbabwean, Botswanan or Namibian law. Some goods need special permits or have import restrictions. It is your responsibility to check that your goods may legally be exported and imported.
- Customs, duties and charges. Customs clearing is carried out at Walvis Bay. Unless we say otherwise in your written quote, import duties, taxes and other charges imposed by the authorities at destination are not included in our price and are payable by you or the recipient.
- Packing. Please pack your goods so they can withstand sea transport. We may charge for additional packing or handling we need to carry out, and we are not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packing.
- Tracking and delivery. You can follow your shipment using your tracking number on our tracking page. Please make sure the recipient is available to receive the goods. If delivery cannot be completed because of incorrect or incomplete details or an unavailable recipient, extra charges may apply.
- Damage, loss and claims. Please tell us as soon as damage, loss or a shortage is noticed, with photographs taken at delivery. See our Complaints Procedure for how claims are handled. We recommend that you arrange your own insurance for valuable goods unless we have agreed in writing to insure them.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide our services with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profit, lost business or downtime) or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control; and our total liability for any one job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect any rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for failing or delaying to perform our obligations because of events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, port or border closures, strikes, shipping line disruption, fuel or power shortages, government action or failure of public services. If this happens we will tell you and do what we reasonably can to keep your job moving.
Your personal information
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Notice.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, please tell us. Our Complaints Procedure explains how to contact us and what to expect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its “last updated” date, is the one that applies when you use the website or when we confirm a job with you. If we have agreed different terms with you in writing for a particular job, those terms apply to that job.
General
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest remains in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
- You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to anyone else without our written consent.
- Governing law. These terms, and any dispute connected with our services, are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction, except where the law that protects you as a consumer says otherwise.
